The Mariners defeated the Ipswich Chiefs 5-1 on Tuesday night in Essex. Steve Stout picked up the win on the mound going 5 strong innings, followed by a shutout inning from both Matt Hildebrand and Ryan Marques. Mike Cain led the Mariners with a 2 run homer in the 1st inning.
