Rockport 7 Hamilton 2

On a splendid summer night at Evans, Rockport defeated Hamilton 7-2. Brent Currier went the distance for the Townie victory (CG,6K,2BB,6H,1ER). Mike Drinkwater recorded the loss for the Generals (4IP,2K,4BB,7H,4ER). Luke Painchaud come on in relief(2IP,5H and 3ER) for Drinkwater.

Townies were paced offensively by Currier (2-3,2B,2RBIs,RS), Mike Emerson (3-4,2B,2RS), Cory Emerson (3-3,3B,2RS) and Matt Ayer (HR,RBI,RS). Hamilton was paced offensively by Love and Provost each having a hit and a run scored.

Rockport has now won three in a row and five out of their last six to improve to 7-3. Hamilton falls to 7-5.

The two teams meet again Thursday at Patton Park. 5:45 first pitch.
