Beverly and Rowley tied 8 to 8 at Eiras Field Tuesday night. Rowley led 8 to 2 after 5 innings but Beverly scratched for 3 runs in the 6th and 3 in the 7th to tie the game. Erik Drown struck out all six batters he faced to finish the game and hold Rowley down long enough for the offense to catch up.
In the top of the 7th with two out and nobody on base Kyle Sewyck and Conor Walsh each walked. Paul Drinkwater then smashed a three run bomb over the left field fence to tie the game. After a scoreless bottom of the seventh the game was called due to darkness.
Beverly's offense was led by Drinkwater (3 for 5, HR, 4RBI, 2R). Derek Scialdone, Erik Drown, Jeff Barricelli, and Sean Mitchell each had two hits.
For Rowley, McElroy had 3 hits and 2RBI. LeBlanc had 2 hits and 3RBI. Conte had 2 hits and 2 runs.
