Ipswich increased their winning streak to 6 games with a thrilling 4 -3 win in 9 innings last night at Bialek Park. Kevin Michael was impressive with a nine inning complete game win, notching 12 K's and surrendering 2 earned runs. Rowley pitching was equally strong as Sloban silenced the Chief's hot bats for 6 full innings. Finally, Greg Doucette, who led Ipswich's offense with two big hits including a 6th inning triple, put the Chiefs up two going into the seventh. Rowley battled back however, scratching two runs across to tie the game. After 1.5 scoreless extra innings Andy Knox sliced a 2 strike single into center with the bases loaded to give the Chiefs their second walk-offf win in three games.
