Manch-Essex 9 Rockport 3

Manch-Essex Mariners defeated the Rockport Townies by a score of 9-3 on Tuesday night in Essex. Brandon Bell went the distance on the mound, scattering 6 hits and allowing 3 runs, while striking out a game high 12 batters. Smith received the loss for Rockport only last 2 2/3 innings.

For Manch-Essex, Gentile paced the offense with a 3 run HR to left center, while reaching base three other times via the free pass. Bertolino, Orlando, Hildebrand and Nicastro all contributed hits. For Rockport, Robertson contributed a HR and 2b, Bro. Currier had a 2b and Brent Currier had a 2b and an rbi.

Manch-Essex travels to Rockport on Friday night to close out the regular season series.
