Rams 10 Generals 5

Rowley rebounded from their first loss of the season on Wednesday by defeating Hamilton on Thursday night at Patton Park. Joe Katin (7IP, 5H, 4ER, 4BB, 15K) turned in a dominant performance in a complete game effort while Rowley’s offense pounded Generals pitching for four HRs.

Rowley jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings. Ralph Renzulli deposited a two-run HR into the pond in the first while Barba contributed a two-run HR of his own to left in the second. Hamilton cut the lead to 5-2 in the third on a solo HR by Jim Maloney.

Rowley added onto their lead in the 7th with two-run HRs from LeBlanc and Smith. Justin Tilley delivered a two-run double for Hamilton in the bottom half to account for the 10-5 final. Eight of the nine Rowley starters hit safely and Thibault and Smith reached base safely four times. Maloney had three hits for Hamilton while Cam Charette turned in three scoreless and hitless innings of middle relief for the Generals.
