Rowley 6, Rockport 1

The Rowley Rams avenged their only loss of the season with a 6-1 win over Rockport @ Eiras Field in Rowley tonight. For Rowley Nick Liguori pitched 5 Innings picking up the win on 1R,4h, 2BB and 4K's. Matt Warden(2IP, 1H,2BB,2K) finished the final two frames. Rockport opened the scoring in the top of the 2nd when Greel scored on a fielders choice. Rowley came back with 3 of their own in the bottom of the inning keyed by a 2 run double from Tim Jean. The Rams kept up the pressure tacking on 1 in the 3rd on a Dave Mariani RBI double, and 2 more in the 4th on RBI singles from Ralph Renzulli and Devin Barry. Chris Bouchie started for Rockport and pitched 4 innings taking the loss. Rockport was led offensively by Anderson (2H,SB), while Robertson, Brent Currier and Greel contributed the other hits. Rowley's offense was led by Ralph Renzulli(3H,2RBI). Koby Thibault and Devin Barry both had 2 hit nights, while Tim Jean contributed 2 RBI. Rockport hosts Beverly Friday night under the lights, while Rowley is off until Tuesday when they open a 2 game set with Manchester/Essex in Essex.
