Beverly - 11, Ipswich - 3

ITL Ipswich Chiefs falls 11-3 at the hands of the Beverly Giants
 
The Beverly Giants beat the Ipswich Chiefs on Friday 11-3 at Linebrook Field in five innings. The Giants scored five runs in the fourth.  The Giants scored in the fourth on a hit by pitch, a two-run single by Andy Brown, a wild pitch, and a groundout by Conor Walsh.

Eric Messina got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.
 
Kevin Michael went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for Ipswich. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

 
The Giants were sparked by Jeff Barricelli and Messina, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.
 
Jake Greaney couldn't get it done on the bump for Ipswich, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.
 
The Giants jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the second. The Giants' threat began with a double by Conor Walsh. Then moved Conor Walsh from second to third. Dan Cashman singled, scoring Conor Walsh. The Giants pushed more runs across when Cashman scored on an RBI single by Sean Martin and Chirco scored on a fielder's choice.
