ITL Hamilton Generals defeat the Beverly Giants 4-1
Drew Taylor went 2-4, sparking the Hamilton Generals to a 4-1 victory in seven innings over the Beverly Giants on Sunday at Balch Park. Taylor singled in the first and third innings.
Luke Painchaud was a workhorse on the mound while bagging the win for the Generals. Painchaud pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out five.
Sean Martin was charged with the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
The Generals went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on a groundout by Jeff Brown and an RBI single by Luke Painchaud.
Hamilton matched its one-run third inning with one more in the fifth. In the third, ITL Hamilton Generals scored on an error, plating Taylor.
