The Generals' bats came to life in the fifth inning. The Giants had no answer as Hamilton scored six runs. The Generals scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Jack Clay, a two-run single by Cam Borrelli, a walk by Larry Saggese, and a two-run double by Mark Potter.
Clay had a hot bat for the Generals. Clay went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs.
Dan Cashman was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked five and struck out two.
