With Phil On The Mound, Hamilton Generals Shuts Out Ipswich Chiefs

Phil Durgin didn't allow a single run against Ipswich Chiefs, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Hamilton Generals to a 3-0 victory on Thursday.  The pitching was strong on both sides. Durgin struck out nine, while Ipswich Chiefs pitchers sat down six.

Hamilton Generals got things started in the first inning. Larry Saggese drove in two when he singled.
A single by RJ Libby in the first inning was a positive for Ipswich Chiefs.

Durgin pitched Hamilton Generals to victory. He surrendered zero runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Will Diezemann took the loss for Ipswich Chiefs. He surrendered three runs on one hit over one inning, striking out one.

Saggese went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits. Hamilton Generals didn't commit a single error in the field. Saggese had the most chances in the field with nine.

Libby led Ipswich Chiefs with two hits in three at bats.
