Four RBI Day For Rory Gentile Spells Out Victory For Man./Essex Mariners Over Ipswich Chiefs

Rory Gentile was bad news for opposing pitchers on Thursday, driving in four on three hits to lead Man./Essex Mariners past Ipswich Chiefs 14-2 on Thursday. Gentile drove in runs on a double in the first, a single in the second, and a triple in the third.

Man./Essex Mariners fired up the offense in the first inning. Man./Essex Mariners scored one run when Gentile doubled.

Man./Essex Mariners tallied four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Paul Crehan and Eric Chalmers and a double by Peter Clark.

Rusty Tucker led the Man./Essex Mariners to victory on the mound. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out 11 and walking one. Clark threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
