  • Topsfield Tories Drops Game To Hamilton Generals After Late Score
  • Topsfield Tories stayed in it until the end, but Hamilton Generals pulled away late in a 13-4 victory on Sunday. The game was tied at four with Hamilton Generalsbatting in the top of the fifth when Luke Painchaud's sac fly scored one run for Hamilton Generals.
  • The Topsfield Tories struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hamilton Generals, giving up 13 runs.
  • Hamilton Generals got on the board in the second inning when Painchaud hit a solo homer.
  • Topsfield Tories notched four runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by a triple by Tom Budrewicz and a double by Troy Bunker.
  • Hamilton Generals scored five runs in the seventh inning. Larry Saggese, Phil Durgin, and Painchaud all drove in runs in the frame.
  • Durgin earned the win for Hamilton Generals. He allowed eight hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out 11.
  • Hamilton Generals socked two home runs on the day. Painchaud put one out in the second inning. Henry Eagarhad a long ball in the fourth inning.

  • Hamilton Generals racked up 19 hits on the day.  Cam Vatour, Eagar, Painchaud, Saggese, Durgin, Harrison O'Brien, and Chris Huggett each collected multiple hits for Hamilton Generals.  Vatour went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Hamilton Generals in hits.
