The Generals jumped out to a 7 to 0 lead in the top of the 5th but the Giants stormed back with 8 runs for the victory.
Hamilton scored 3 runs in the first on a run scoring double by Mark Ruggerio and an RBI single by Jim Maloney followed by a run scoring wild pitch. The Generals scored 4 more in the 5th following 3 walks when Andre Painchaud hit a sacrifice fly and Ruggerio followed with a 3 run bomb.
Beverly finally was able to score in the bottom of the fifth, scoring 6 runs to cut the lead to one. Mike Freni knocked in the first run, followed by a two run single by Brian Chirco, a two run double by Chris Freni, and a one run single by Sean Mitchell.
After Giants' reliever Sean Martin worked his way out of a bases loaded situation in the top of the 6th, the Giants scored one run in the bottom half to tie the game. Nick Adams led off with a double and scored on a single by Derek Scialdone.
Martin pitched a scoreless top of the 7th with help from a 6-4-3 double play. Beverly scored the game winning run in the bottom of the 7th courtesy of three rookies. Conor Walsh singled to lead off the inning, Sean Mitchell bunted him to second, and Corey Williams followed with a double over the center fielder's head for a walkoff victory.
Beverly improves to 4-2 and Hamilton falls to 3-3. The two teams meet for the third time this season Tuesday night in Hamilton.
