Rams 3 - Mariners 2

After dropping a 6-1 decision Tuesday night the Rams bounced back with a 3-2 win at Eiras Field Wednesday night. Nick liguori and Mike Gibbon locked into a pitcher's duel that would not be decided until the bottom of the 7th when Rowley won the game on an Andrew Barba sac fly to left field. Liguori pitched 6 1/3 innings giving up 2R on 7H, 1BB and 12k's before giving way to Joe Katin with 2 on in the 7th. Katin retired the only 2 batters he faced to earn the win. Gibbon was equally tough surrendering just 2 R through 5 on 6H, 1BB and 5 K's. Offensively for Rowley Renzulli and Barba led the way with 2 hits each while Graham and Cahill had 2 hits for Manchester Essex. Both teams are off until Monday when Rowley visits Ipswich and the Mariners take on Beverly at home.
