Beverly - 9, Hamilton - 6

The Generals built up a 3 to 0 lead with single runs in the first, second, and fourth innings. Beverly rallied for 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game and 3 more in the fifth to take a 6 to 3 lead. Hamilton then scratched for 3 runs in the top of the 6th to tie the game at 6.

With one out in the bottom of the sixth, Kevin Harutunian walked and stole second. After a strikeout was recorded, an infield throwing error on a Derek Scialdone ground ball allowed Harutunian to score with the go ahead run. John Boyle added some insurance with a 2 run homer to give the Giants a 9 to 6 lead after six innings.

Boyle came on in the seventh and notched a save with a scoreless inning. Sean Kelleher was credited with the win in relief in his ITL debut. Judd Funchion was charged with the loss in relief of Mike Drinkwater.

Offensively, Beverly was led by John Boyle (2 for 3, HR, 3RBI, 3R), Erik Drown (2 for 3, 2RBI), and Jeff Barricelli (2 for 4, RBI, 2R). Hamilton only managed 4 hits, but had 10 free passes and was 6 for 7 on steals. They were led by Jim Maloney (1 for 5, 3RBI, SB), Mark Potter (1 for 1, 3 walks), and Reggie Maidment (1 for 2, 2R, 2 walks.
