Drinkwater / Generals Win over Chiefs

Mike Drinkwater pitched 6 strong innings allowing only 1 run and two hits. His pitching effort combined with the hot Generals bats led to a big wing over Ipswich. The Generals managed 9 runs, all with 2 out, in the second inning and never looked back. The offense was highlighted by a Bryan Vitale (2-3, 2 BB, 3 R, 4 RBI, HR) grand slam in the second, a Drinkwater 3-RBI triple later in the game, & Jim Love's first ITL hit and RBI. Potter, Maloney, and Ruggiero also added 2-RBI each. The two teams meet again this Thursday at Patton Park, 5:45pm start.
