Rowley 6 - Rockport 3

The Rams ended their 3 game losing streak by defeating Rockport Wednesday night at Eiras Field in Rowley. Nick Liguori pitched 6 strong innings surrendering just 2 hits and 2 walks along the way. The Rams scored 3 times in the 2nd to take the early lead. Liguori entered the 4th with no hits allowed but a sharp single by Anderson to lead off the inning was followed, 2 batters later by a 2 run opposite field shot by Brent Currier that brought the score to 3-2. Rowley pushed across 3 more in the bottom of the 6th to get some breathing room and Rockport rounded out the scoring with 1 in the top of the 7th. Osmond pitched well in the loss with a complete game effort giving up 9 H, 1BB with 4K's. Liguori went 6 for the win giving up 2 H, 2BB with 7K's. Rockport gets back at it Friday night 7 PM at Evans against Beverly while Rowley is off until Tuesday when they travel to Essex to take on the Mariners, 5:45 start.
