The Rockport Townies defeated the Chiefs of Ipswich by a score of 3-2 on a humid night at Evans Field in Rockport.

Matt Sharon picked up his second win on the season going the distance (7Ks, 2BBs, 8Hits, and 2ER). The Townies offense was paced by Mike Anderson (2-3, 1rbi), Juncker (1-3, rbi and rs) and Jeremy Spittle (1-2, rbi).

Ipswich got a good performance from Doucette going the distance (4Ks, 2BBs, 8Hits, and 3 runs) Dylan Durning (2-3 2b, rbi, rs), Kevin Michael (2-3, rbi) and Ryan Montecalvo (1b, rs) paced the Chiefs offense.
